Hyannis was settled in the mid 1600’s by farmers and fishermen. Because of its location, Hyannis quickly became a busy shipping port and was even attacked by the British in the War of 1812. John F. Kennedy was probably the most influential resident and the Kennedy family has owned property in Hyannis Port since the 1920’s.

Visitors will appreciate the easily accessible ferries to both Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket. Hyannis man sentenced for break-ins

BARNSTABLE – A Hyannis man was sentenced to two years in jail for a series of break-ins in August.Marcus Anding, 21, Dajion Walters, 22, and a juvenile were arrested Aug. 20 for breaking into the Paddock Restaurant in Hyannis, according to court records.Anding and Walters were also tied to break-ins at the Compound Bar and Grille, the Beachtree Cantina, Dragon Lite Restaurant, Land Rover of Cape Cod and a home on Baxter Road, [...]
